黛安娜王妃系列
錦芳到書店購回有關戴妃的書籍，大量收集她的資料，尤其圖像，每天盯著電視看她的葬禮以及有關她的種種生前報導，開始醞釀「黛妃系列」而以36幅為目標，因為她於36歲去世。因錦芳認為戴妃是人類廿世紀最後的也是最大的「意象」（ICON），他要以他最拿手的「新意象派」風格來詮釋，展現這位「天下奇女子」的千姿百態，而他的第一批作品共30幅於隔年春天在我們的「新世界藝術中心」展出。
