Canada Pavilion

For the Canada Pavilion, Dr. Chen employed the national symbol of the maple leaf, in geometric design. In the left and right sections of the leaf, Chen elaborates on the treasure of the Canadian wilderness, with its rich resources of forest and timber. In the top section of the leaf, he depicts some of the famous cityscape of Toronto, Canada’s business center, such as the CN Tower in Toronto (533.3m) and the dome stadium. In the bottom part, Chen pays homage to the Montreal Film Festival, organized since 1977 to promote cultural exchange on behalf of Canada. And lastly in the center, Chen highlights Canada’s national treasure — the Cirque de Soleil.
