The Malaysia Pavilion is modeled after the traditional Malaysian long house. Dr. Chen has decorated the exterior with a variety
of selected Malaysian images, such as: the Malay mythology, indigenous folk festival decorations, modern towers, Europeanstyle housing, the Portuguese colonial churches, and the famous Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. So here, we see the crossblending of the ancient and modern, co-existing harmoniously side by side. |
