Estonia Pavilion

A week before the official launch of the Shanghai World Expo, Dr. Chen visited the site. The beautiful multicolored exterior of the Estonia Pavilion caught his eye. Covered in panels of horizontal bands of rainbow-like colors, it was quite simple yet very attractive.

Chen sought to capture the form and spirit of the exterior in this painting, while adding a figure of his favorite painter, Vincent Van Gogh. Chen also added a Chinese Opera Mask, to show the friendly exchange of culture between China and Estonia.
