The Sunshine Valley Under Starry Night

For the occasion of the Vincent van Gogh Centennial, Dr. Chen created 100 paintings called his “Post – Van Gogh Series” as a tribute to the artist who had inspired him from childhood to go to Paris and dedicate his life to art. Called the “reborn Van Gogh,” it is quite natural that Chen uses icons relating to Van Gogh for the creation of another Neo-Iconographic series of his – the “Shanghai World Expo Series.”

As soon as Dr. Chen saw the dynamically flashing “Sunshine Valley” and the Expo Aix, he arranged them under Van Gogh’s Starry Night and accomplished this painting.
