Cambodia Pavilion97 X 130 cm ac 2010/8/16 The Cambodia Pavilion embodies the country’s sense of cultural heritage protection with its three historical periods: Angkor Period, Odong Period and Phnom-Penh Period. In 1992, the Angkor monuments were listed as one of the “Eastern Four Miracles” and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here we see the “Four Face Buddha” in the upper center of this painting, as well as the Buddhist mythology surrounding the story in a relief on the lower left. Dr. Chen also added images of the Myth of the Dancing Women, young monks and ancient temples, and the beautiful landscape to complete this painting. |
